• Re-open 9/11 Investigation
  - enter into the record evidence from witnesses ignored by the original Commission
  - determine why the people who failed to protect America were promoted for it
  - determine why the crime scene evidence was rapidly destroyed
• Re-investigate the 2001 anthrax mailings that targeted Democrat legislators and newspapers
• Re-start the stalled investigation into the Valerie Plame outing
• Investigate the diversionary sniper murders by Malvo and Muhammad during 'debate' on the U S Patriot Act

• End the War on the Poor
  - stop raiding Social Security
  - raise the cap on Social Security deductions but lower the rate
  - tax wealthy estates when transferred thru inheritance

• End the War on People
  - support the anti personnel land mine treaty
  - end the use of phosphorus, biological and uranium kinetic weapons
  - use family planning rather than genocide and torture as a means of moderating human population pressures
  - Tasers kill. Use them as you would firearms
  - revoke the 'No Fly List'

• End the War Without End: - When was the last uninterrupted 24-hour period that the US Military was not bombing someone somewhere on the surface of the planet?
  - stop confusing American global interest with the whims of the Merchants of Death, a narrow segment of Americans who profit from traffic in weapons and their continued use
  - return to his office Jean-Bertrand Aristide, twice democratically elected president of Haiti, and deposed in a 2004 US-lead coup
  

• Give real support to energy independence. Large central powerplants are vulnerable to terrorist attack. A network of decentralized and private generation via multiple modalities offers a redundancy, provides more jobs and enhances our security.
  - end massive subsidies for entrenched energy interests
  - support renewable energy installations (solar, wind, hydro, geothermal and biomass)
  - ratify the Kyoto Accord

ARTICLE 1, SECTION 3:

The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, [chosen by the legislature thereof,] for six Years; and each Senator shall have one Vote.

This segment was overturned in 1917 by the enactment of Amendment 17, which states:

"The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, elected by the people thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote."

Altho the difference is subtle, we need to understand why there was a perceived need for such an amendment, and what the consequences were. Arguments for its repeal involve a restoration of the power lost by the States to the Fed.

The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present. ...

• Why not just go for it?

ARTICLE 1, SECTION 8: The Congress shall have Power

To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures. (No State shall ... make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; SECTION 10)

• If you can't return the issuing of money to the U S Government, support alternative currencies that have certified bullion backing

To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries;

• Allowing corporations to patent life-forms because they have made a minor modification to it is a perversion of this section. The Constitution gives no authority to the Government to prevent people from growing and using crops and saving the seed thereof.

To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

• We the People have been asked to support 'wars' that Congress has not declared for a very long time, and we are getting tired of it. Reference the War Powers Act of 1973

ARTICLE 1, SECTION 9: ... no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

• End dual citizenship for persons holding high governmental office

AMENDMENT I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

• End government financial support for faith-based initiatives

AMENDMENT II

A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

• The National Guard of various States are as close to Militias as we have. Their purpose is for the defense of the individual states. Bring them home from Iraq now.

AMENDMENT IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated; and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

• - Repeal the U S PATRIOT Act and the Military Commissions Act (MCA)
• - End extraordinary rendition and torture

AMENDMENT X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited to it by the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

• Re-establish state's rights as set forth in the Constitution
  
  - National Guard is to be used only in the US
  - Fed cannot overturn state laws regarding reproductive, sexual preference and consumer choices

• The War on Drugs is not authorized by the Constitution. Paradoxically, the most societally dangerous drug, alcohol, is legal. The severely puritanical attitude towards drugs gives rise to black market economies, which cause 'drug violence'. Drugs are refined into highly concentrated, more addictive forms to make them easier to smuggle. Drug dealers and drug enforcers are two sides of the same corrupt coin: each needs the other, but both are parasites.
  
  - end property confiscations
  - end imprisonment for victimless crimes

• As of 2004 the United States had the highest percentage of people in prison of any nation. Incarcerating 726 of every 100,000 citizens, the U S is well ahead of the Russian rate of 532.
  Bring the number of people in prison in the US back down to levels consistent with the civilized world
  - free political prisoners (defendants imprisoned from trials in which the plaintif was the state; i.e., victimless crime)
  - make sure inmates can make at least minimum wage for their labor
  - re-enfranchise felons who have served their time
