The Amazing Cap
Not only do we at NC911Truth.org dispute NIST's findings of inwardly-bowed exterior
columns, we also don't correlate these with the powerful explosions that brought the Twin Towers down.
And, if the collapse were indeed passive, we would find it difficult to understand:
- why the cap of the South Tower started tipping with a fulcrum far above the fire

- why the tipping cap, falling off the tower, did not relieve the stress on the undamaged rest
of the structure, allowing it to remain standing
- why the collapse was so symmetrical. This of course holds for all three towers, especially WTC 7
- why many stories of the weaker skin of the structure remained standing, when the much
stronger backbone was reduced to grade level.
Since no official investigation answered these questions, let alone raised them,
their determination remains an action item for independent efforts.
